Dee,

Be honest with yourself...... Are you eating the wrong foods... sweets,

candy, junk? Sounds like you are creating your own problems...

:

Usually a couple of weeks with the problem of diarrhea and intestine

cramping usually just 4 am until 11:30am.....sometimes afternoons.

Then followed by a couple of weeks of 'normalness'. Then the cycle

repeats.

Yep, I've been to specialists, and regular doctor. Nothing seems to

work for me. I've very thankful for my surgery, but sometimes I feel

like I'm in the 'bathroom prison'....and wanna get out!

So to all you other people out there, don't feel all alone.

I've just over 4 years out.

Have you tried emodium? I use the generic brand and take three in the morning

and three in the evening. It worked for me when nothing else did.

re: Pooping too much after 4 years!

I've been having this problem also for the last 2 + years.

Somedays it is impossible to get away from the bathroom before 11:00 am.

I tried working for the post office as a rural carrier, but had to

give it up because of the need for the bathroom so often.

Some days it is normal, other days you have to use the bathroom even

before your foot hits the floor in the morning. I've tried NOT

eating, eating, NOT drinking, drinking.........it goes in cycles for me.

I have the same problem. Before I had the surgery, I asked the Dr R about IBS,

and if the surgery would help, or hinder IBS. His reply was it helps some,

makes some worse, and some stay the same. I've had problems with diarrhea since

I was a child, and it was finally diagnosed as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

Unfornunately, it seems to have made mine somewhat worse. Oh well, the benefits

far outweigh the cons. I could be 240 or highter and running to the bathroom.

At least I get there quicker nowadays.

My doctor has put me on lotomil as needed. I have to get the doctur to call in

a prescription each time I run out, since it is addicting, but one prescription

lasts around 3 months. I also am over 4 years out

The way I see it, if I didn't have the diarrhea, I probably would have gained

like some of the others talk about.
