Guest guest
Why, dont you have them pick you up from the airport, thats what I did and I met people that were getting the same surgery and I was comfortable and we all talked about it and how we feel. Well, I went by myself to the airport but my husband drove me back, but it wasnt bad. > > My Surgery is scheduled for August 21st and I am planning to drive down > to mexicali alone. Guest guest
I rode down to Mexicali for surgery and back and had no pain or trouble on the way back. I didn’t drive, but I sat in the passenger seat and just watched the scenery go by. I had no pain at all. However, if you do, you will have liquid Tylenol that they give you. Where are you from? Guest guest
Janette, your pain will be minimal. You may have some minor soreness at the location ofyour incisions that the seat belt might or might not bother. You will be a little weak. If you could get someone to travel with you it would be comforting to you. I don't know how far you are driving so that may be a real factor. If it is a short trip, you should be fine. If it is 3 or 4 hours, I would suggest someone go with you to share driving responsibilities. Best of luck to you. Guest guest
Rhonda, Thanks for the reply, I am in So. Cal.near Long Beach. The drive is about 2 hours to the border from where I am. My boyfriend is just absolutly convinced that we need passports so he is refusing to go with me at this point. I think he is feeling insecure. But I am not letting him stop me from going. I guess i can hang out an extra day or 2 at a hotel if I dont feel ready for the drive home after surgery. Guest guest
Tell your boyfriend that as long as you drive in you don't need passports until 1/1/08. All you need is valid ID such as a drivers license to get back in the U.S.. Sounds to me he is trying to get you not to go. If you fly in or take a cruise into Mexico, yes, you do need a passport.
