This is now day three and I have not been able to keep any thing down

I had gone out to dinner on Tuesday and ate to much food now I can

only take in fluids and even that is hard to get down. I have

returned to the fluids only can someone tell me how long this will

last??? Thank you Dawn

Oh oh ohhh!! I'm an expert on this one! ;o)

It's a cycle, the problem is that you are experiencing inflammation.

The inflammation causes you to vomit, then when you vomit it causes

MORE inflammation.

Eat or drink absolutely nothing for about six hours. Then SLOWLY take

very small sips of water, preferably warm. You'll likely want

something cold to drink but that's bad. Clear liquids only until you

have kept everything down for a couple of days then graduate to protein

shakes and such.

If you start getting symptoms of dehydration you'll need to go to an ER

and get some IV fluids, IV decadron, and IV Zofran. That will end the

cycle and you'll be good to go again.

I'd avoid warm teas because the caffeine is not nice to your (already)

inflammed stomach.
