Guest guest
First off, prostatitis and epididymitis are not the same thing. I've worked as a nurse and lab tech for an urologist the majority of my adult life, and I have never seen epididymitis treated with antibiotics, however, prostatitis is usually treated with antibiotics and prostatic massage, in severe cases. Epididymitis is normally successfully treated with an anti-inflammatory drug, totally differen from an antibiotic. It is simply an inflammation of the epididymus, commonly brought on by excessive strain in the groin area, and aggravated by more of the same. My doc often advises patients to use an athletic supporter, depending on the severity, and ALWAYS prescribes anti-inflammatory drugs such as Naprosyn. Interestingly enough, this is more common in men who have had vasectomies than men who haven't. The LDN theory is interesting, but I had never heard of it. It would certainly be interesting to hear more about it. Take care! Guest guest
When my father complained about prostatitis, I did some research. I bought him " Trinovin " - it doesn't require a prescription - I buy it on line. He takes it religiously - and raves about it. Only a suggestion. bestaunt
