Chet Day...I remember him way back when he was also a Health Minister with Hallelujah Acres and their Diet. He even worked for Malkamus way back. Over the years, no judgment here, he has totally gone away from this Diet. Maybe he is back on it again, but don't know. He is super researched and has tons of great information. Sometimes we have to take what we need or want, but his website is loaded with something for all: www.chetday.com Here's my version of Steamed Kale--carolg Wash/cut kale In steamer, steam kale for about 5 or less minutes. When finished top with olive oil, and your favorite seasons. Enjoy. When cooled you can also add to a fresh salad. AddCajun seasoning like Zatarain's to taste. Add one bunch ofdiced kale and cook until done to taste. This is reallygood served over rice. The longer you cook the onion, thesweeter it will become and the better the tomato sauce is.Personally, I like to have plenty of raw kale in my dietbecause the calcium content is so high, but I prefer it injuice rather than having to eat it.So try juicing a big handful with celery, apple, zucchini,and a carrot. Cuts down on the chewing and you can enjoy it more. However, don't forget to chew each mouthful anyway to properly mix it with saliva. Only make enough so you can use it all though, otherwise the nutrients begin to oxidize and you lose 'em. The texture is too tough for my liking. However, I juice it with carrots or in Green Lemonade with romaine, a lemon and an apple. Why go to all the trouble to juice something and then add the pulp back in when you can just blend it. Granted, a juicer does remove much more of the juice and is much better at breaking down those cellulose cell walls. But hey, the body needs a certain amount of indigestible fiber too.
