Guest guest
hi everyone, a ci that goes through security has the chance of its mapp being messed up? those of you with a ci- is localization of sound possible? sohada (mom of a 3 yr. girl awaiting surgery in july) Airport Secuity and the CI I've yet to have a problem with my the CI at the airport but I always share information about them when I'm going thru security. I prefer to ask to be wanded as I am also mobility impaired so they just look at it and let me go thru. Some people have concerns about losing maps going thru the regular check point while others don't. I like the opportunity to talk to security about the CI. They are usually very interested and amazed. This reminds me of a funny story. Last summer, after the SHHH convention, I went to upstate NY to visit family for a month. On the day I was returning home, there was a security problem in Buffalo so the security was extremely tight. I went right thru but my son, who has probably traveled millions of miles and was going with me to the gate got pulled over and really got the once over. I thought he was going to have to take everything off and this was a day he wasn't even flying. I just waited patiently with a grin on my face. Alice Glad you enjoyed it! Do CI's give problems in security at airports?
Guest guest
Sohada, I've only heard hearsay that someone went through airport security and lost a map. However, I have never known it to happen to anyone first hand. I do turn off my 3G before going through though because even if it is one in a million, I don't want to be the millionth! Localization is possible with 2 functioning ears. Guest guest
Dunno about losing maps going thru the metal detectors. But dont send any processors thru the conveyor belt. First flight I went on, I turned off my CI. After that, didnt bother, I rather " hear " any alarms I might set off instead of seeing panicky security people running all over the place. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it. --Dan Quayle & Gimlet (Guide Dawggie) Portland, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rlclark77@... http://home.comcast.net/~rlclark77/
