You are right, . Just about all of those pictures are the longer cut. I

wish I had taken a picture of mine with the short cut. Any chance you could

take yours and send it to the site?

Good Greif !I just looked at some of the posted photos of implant surgery and

thanks , for sharing your photos.

it's a great help to me because my husband, Cherry, is having his

surgery next Monday (yea!) and i will be the one to shave the area

around his ear for him the day before surgery, as he has very long

hair, and we wanna keep as much as we can!

his surgeon outlined the area for us previously and it is very

similar in size to yours, only his incision will be more around the

ear, so i wont be going straight up, as in yours, but more curved

around his ear.

but it was a great help to get an idea of what his will look like!

thanks again, and take care.

Well I agree with you. When I saw those pictures it frightened

me. But the surgeon only shaved a small area above my ear and behind

it. My hairdresser has a niece that has a CI and she said her hair was

completely shaved on one side. She thought they did a great job when they

cut my hair.

No offense taken ..

I had my surgery 2 and a half years ago.. when they did primarily

the long incision, and while I agree.. my surgery pix looked like

somehting out of a enstein movie, the scar is unnoticeable

today and at the time of my surgery my hair covered the whole thing.

My incision is right in the crease of my ear so the scar has never

been a problem.. as I said before.. small price topay for being able

to hear again.<smiles>
