Guest guest
Hi Gang, Diane here, I have survived. Yesterday I had the balloon dilation done and he gave me an injection of botox just to be sure, and so far I feel great! I wish I would have done this a lot sooner! I was a little groggy from the sedative and was a little sore in the chest, but today I feel great! it was nice waking up without a acid-y feeling. and no pain or tightness in the chest. So anyone that has had their doubts about doing this or waiting DON'T! Today I am going to a restraunt and ENJOY it! Take Care, Diane
Guest guest
Congratulations! Isn't it nice to feel normal again? And what a nice time of year, with all the holiday goodies coming up. Enjoy them! Carol Re: I Survived > Hi Gang, > Diane here, I have survived. Yesterday I had the balloon dilation done and he > gave me an injection of botox just to be sure, and so far I feel great! Guest guest
I got to Mexicali on Sunday and had all my tests run. On Monday morning I was laying in an operating room slightly uneasy. I prayed to whatever was out there no matter what it was and how wrong my perceptions were to allow me to live through the surgery. A few minutes later I decided that if I did die, everyone would figure out how to get along and worrying about it wouldn't change anything anyway. One second I was BS'ing in spanish with the anesthesiologist, the next I was awake in the recovery room with 5 cuts on my abdomen. I didn't take any pain meds because the whole thing didn't really feel any worse than when you work out too hard at the gym and maybe pull a muscle or something. I'm back home now and feel fine. I guess I will go to work tomorrow. Greg P. ps; I was really happy to see my wife and son when I got home. pps; I guess I'm just posting before pics for now. Guest guest
Welcome home and welcome to the losing side of this journey. You will not regret it at all. Just remind yourself to look at the big picture...especially during the next 2 weeks. I'm not gonna lie to you, it really is pure hell. But, those weeks will pass and the rest of the journey is much much easier. Just stay busy.
