Guest guest
Great post Dawnita! I am so proud of you! How fun is it to be able to do the things you do now! And to shock and amaze so many! I made flyers and have been handing them out to people who ask me what my weight loss secret is! I bet you have had/are having fun shopping for clothes now too! Glad to hear from you, Penny > > Wow...what a ride this has been. I am 12 lbs from goal and I can't hardly believe I am even the same person! I just got back from a church campmeeting and you would not BELIEVE the number of people who thought (a) that my husband had gotten divorced and remarried, or ( I was my younger sister, or © I was someone else entirely. I got blank stares when I said hello to people I have known ALL OF MY LIFE...but had not seen in a couple of years. I had to introduce myself to family members. My husband DID introduce me to a couple of people as his " new " wife, Dawnita...and then told them how I lost almost half of myself. I wouldn't be surprised if several of them don't get the lapband for themselves now! What a blessing Dr A has been in my life!! I handed out 10 of the fridge magnets I picked up at the booth at the Seattle bash that have been hanging on my fridge in my camper for months. I am now saving to get a tummy tuck...I REALLY need one....it isn't just about the way it looks...but how it FEELS to wear a " skin skirt " . I find it affects my posture and makes my back hurt, and the heat rash I sometimes get UNDER it is miserable...BUT I wouldn't trade for my old body for ANYHING! I now have the energy to play with my grandkids (got a new granddaughter the 2nd of July) and am training a Peruvian horse on my OWN for the first time. I can even " stick " when he has a little bronco buckaroo attack...something I could not do previous to losing the weight....his momma tossed me more than once! > I still try to read the list every day, even tho I rarely post anymore...it is so good to see so many of you succeeding at regaining your health...being " skinny " was never my goal...being HEALTHY was IT! But it is looking like skinny might be in my forecast now....who'd of thunk it??? > > > BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGS > Dawnita May > Lowpass, Oregon > 10/05/05 dob 209/132/120 5ft 3inches See My > latest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/ >
