As I was preparing a plate of shrimp to take to a neighbors party, my daughter Jacqui said "I haven't been on the scale in like 2 weeks...I hope I haven't gained.." She steps on the scale and lets out this skin curdling screech...."What?, What?" I said. She comes to me crying and shaking! She can't even speak!! I'm fearing the worst as my eye's start to tear-up. "it's ok, what did it say?" After many attempts, she said..." 199!!!" She was just crying and then I'm crying and were hugging...it was a beautiful thing! I'm so proud of her! and now she's proud of her too!! Her road with the band has been long...2 fills that had no effect over the first 4 months which were very discouraging. Her 3rd fill 11-20-06 was very traumatic, an hour of attempts to reach the port to no avail...then fluroscopy to finally get her to 3.5cc !! It's working and her doubts are gone!! This will be a Happy New Year for her! What a great way to start it, at 199!! The band truly changes lives!!
