Guest guest
, it sure does. I am really working at it this week. I am hoping that next weeks weigh in shows that I am down even more. Of course aren't we all? I am just trying extra hard today and I did really great yesterday. I did the most exercising I have done in a while yesterday. I didn't over do it though. Re: (Myssi) isnt it great when you know you have been not totally on program and you lose. Gives you great inspiration for the next week. NH... Guest guest
Hi , Your story reminds me of myself before I had the implant, and my hearing loss has strong impact on my friendship. Because you are empathic to your friends and acquaintances, you care to have a comfortable rapport with them. You want to feel and think positive, so that they will do as you wish. It may be possible that they have the same challenge like you, and they want to have a conversation with you too. They are at least making some effort. I agree with those who responded to you in the CI Hear forum, and it takes patience, effort, and positive thinking. From what you are saying, you are already on your way, but you don't give yourself credit for being yourself. Your story indicates that your friends actually like you in the first place, and are socializing with you regardlessly. Kent :-) I find myself wishing I had people who had understanding and paitence to interact around with me, not just feel like they HAVE to talk to me, feel bad or give up trying to say something that I couldn't understand the first time. --Mekutochi Left Ear -- Cochlear Nucleus Freedom Implanted: August 15, 2005 Activated: August 23, 2005 Right Ear -- Pending __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi ! Jim is doing good...No more pain (thank God)...Prilosec & Mylanta is some good stuff...LOL...It was either that or the nut house for me...If it was driving me crazy then think of what poor Jim was thinking (I've done screwed up, is what was running thru his mind) we laugh about it now but it wasn't funny at the time...He hasn't weighed since week 3 post op, at that time he was down 13 lbs...He thinks he's gaining now but I don't know...We go the 15th to get fills...I went today and weighed at the health clinic and I'm at 145...So I have put on a few pounds...I'm looking forward to a fill...I know Dr. A. & C. didn't want to give me one 6 weeks ago but I have to have one now before I gain back more...It's a funny thing I'm pretty tight in the mornings but come evening it's wide open...I'm just hoping this fill doesn't close me up like before...I'm just going to ask for a very slight fill and hope it works...I'm still wearing my same clothes but I can sure tell the weight is there (it's all in my stomach or so it feels)... The good thing is I'm not fretting over it too much ...In the old days I would have been but now I know I'll lose it in no time at all... So all in all we are doing good...I'm so ready for Jim to get a fill so he can really begin his journey... How are you? How is your weight loss? Have you had a fill lately? Well take care and maybe we can get together some day... ttyl, Renavanessa bobo <vjbobo2003@...> wrote: Hey Rena, This is , just wanting to check up on Jim, how is he doing? Re: PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE OUT--slipped band? mommy, Why would you prefer to lose weight feeling like crap when you can lose weight and feel good? I know exactly what you are going thru and it's not pretty...I've been there and wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy...You really need an unfill ASAP...If you don't get one you'll continue to lose weight but it will slow down, your body will go into starvation mode and your risking your band...For what a few pounds that you'll lose anyway...Once you get an unfill and begin eating normally you'll still lose and feel so much better and healthier... Go get an unfill and lose it the right way... If I lay down (even if i havent eaten in HOURS) I will immediately get gurgling noises and I wake up coughing and running to the bathroom. Just water or anything. Gaby says she concerned that I want to wait and its dangerous and I shouldnt. I am looking on getting xray w/flour here and have it sent to Dr A. but money is tight right now. I just have a hard time caring because I am losing weight and am so thrilled. Doesnt that just speak volumes about how addictive overeating is? I mean feeling sick EVERY time I eat AND Vomiting SEVERAL times a night and I still will take that over not losing weight. I AM LOOKING FOR ANYONE W/SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. ......anyone? PLEASE respond. Guest guest
It is great to hear that he is finally doing okay. I am doing good. I have started walking every evening and I think that I have lost some inches. Not much in weight. Before my gallbladder surgery I really felt like I needed a fill, but since the surgery I am really tight in the mornings, I usually just drink 2 cups of fat free milk. 18grams of Protein and only 160 cal. Then at lunch I usually end up with about 2/3 of what ever I ordered left. But I too can eat too much at night. I think alot of it is that I am usually so busy during the day I never really think about food, but at night it is a whole different story! Money is really tight right now but I am hoping that by next month I can go and get another fill. Where are you and Jim going to get your fills?
