I am flying to Arizona to be with my family and I can't wait. Did anyone else go through apprehension seeing their family the first time after losing a bunch of weight? How did you prepare for it? I know I am going to hear comments like "Dang girl, you look good!" But I will also hear "You were soooooo fat" , "The last time I saw you, your face was so huge," "You need plastic surgery now". My family means well, and they will also be naturally curious, but man I can't wait to get that phase of the "meet and greet" out of the way. I like hearing compliments, don't get me wrong, but it's the other comments that I could do without. So anyway, tonight I spent an hour picking out an outfit just to toss it in my bag and decide on something comfortable. I want to impress my family but I figure in the end they will see me walking around in Jammies before the evening is over haha! I am also freaking out about the plane ride. I don't do planes very well (which is why I haven't been back to see Nina and Dr.A----sorry guys!) and I am basically a basket case until I land at my destination. I know if it is my time, it is my time, and there is nothing I can do about it, but what I hate is the 30 seconds that you are going down, (or more) and knowing you are going down and all that screaming..... LOL. Ok, sorry if that is freaking anyone out. I can just see a chain reaction of posts coming through hahah! But seriously, people laugh when I say that to them but it is true. I don't fear dying, I fear the knowledge that I am about to die. Ok, I will get off this topic. So off I go for one glorious week in Prescott Arizona. I will be meeting fellow bandster, Wilks, who is going to be picking me up at the airport (she is so nice for doing that!). We will have some fun before she takes me to my folks. I bet she will have me laughing and calm my nerves before I meet everyone! If anyone needs me, I will be bringing my laptop and checking mail (of course, you didn't expect a techy like me to do without did ya?). If you need me, ya know, to talk you out of that cheeseburger, or slap the ice-cream out of your hand, I am just an email away at techgurl88@... . :oP M 280/171/155 -109lbs gone for good! Guest guest
Hey , Have a great vacation. I hope you have a safe flight and a wonderful time. Strut yourself! You look wonderful. I am sure whatever outfit you will look awesome. I am so afraid of flying myself!! I am off to see Dr Aceves tomorrow to get a fill. I know I will praying all the way. Thank goodness my flight from Seattle to San Diego won't be too long :0) I have several friends getting banded this weekend and I have the privilege of being with them through the process. I am so excited for them all. I can't wait to see Dr A, Yolanda, Nina and everyone! I hope you all have a great weekend! I'll be back Sunday evening.
