Guest guest
I'm leaning towards Nucleus. Please let me know which model, etc. I guess that it should be Nucleus 24.What else do I need to know. Thanks, Moses Katz
Guest guest
Moses, If you get the Nucleus, it will be the Nucleus 24 Contour and you may get the softip. As far as I know, not all the implant centers have them yet. (Someone correct me if I am wrong!) Just ask the surgeon. Some centers have it and some don't. Either way it is fine. You won't have to worry about which model because you will be getting the latest that Cochlear has to offer. If your insurance pays then you will be asked to choose from getting either 2 behind the ear models (called the 3G) or one 3G and one body processor (called Sprint). My opinion is to get one of each. Others will tell you their opinion, ultimately it is your decision.
Guest guest
Hi ! Many thanks for the information. I will wait one more day, before I give my shopping list to Kaiser. Moses

Guest guest
Getting one is true if you go to Allegheny General Hospital in PA. I recently found out that had I chose another hospital I would have gotten 2 Nucleus' but since I was implanted in AGH, I only got one. Big Bummer for me!
