Guest guest
Dianna, I don't think anyone has information on the Nucleus 4. It will need to go thru trials and then the FDA approval process before it's released and I don't think these have even started. From what I have read, I believe it's still in the process of development. As far as the T-mic goes...I have heard nothing about the Nucleus including that. Did you see this somewhere? Alice Hey all, Does any of you know when Nucleus 4 is coming out? Does any of you know if Nucleus is going to make t-mic? Thanks!!
Guest guest
No, I didn't see T-mic of Nuke anywhere. I was just curioius about it since I'm interested in t-mic but obviously Nucleus doesn't have it or yet. I spoke with Lynn at Cochlear Co. and she said no t-mic but they do have built in t-coil which I knew that already. From what I understand, Nucleus 4 might be released next year. But from what she mentioned to me, some centers might have information only if they're participating this clinical trial. But she also said the clinical trial of Nuke 4 hasn't even introduced yet so she doesnt know when it will be introduced...but then in the beginning of the conversation, she said this coming Fall. Anyway, I dont think she knows too much about it yet. But she did say that the contour will be the same/used for Nucleus 4 because that's what they're intending to do. The speech processor will be new as well. She doesnt know anything about the designs or features of Nuke 4 yet. So that's what I got the update for Nucleus. diana

Guest guest
I'm very interested. Any idea about the technical details? To anyone curious how I'm doing, I end up with hearing aids... So I guess I will spend time watching how CI technology goes. Regards/ Jerome What's a t-mic? Cheers Dave
Guest guest
Hi all Someone said that Cochlear are bringing out a new product, Nucleus 4, early next year, which would replace Nucleus 3. I've heard that the new device is currently undergoing clinical trials. I've tried to find out more about this on the internet but to no avail. I'm not sure if it only relates to the implant device (Nucleus Contour) or the speech processor as well (SPrint or ESPrit 3G)? Does anyone know anything more about it? Am awaiting an implant in early November - can't wait!
