It must be safe enough to use in ovens with temperatures of up to 500 degrees so it can't be a child's plaything. One that would fit the hand of your average sized eight or ten year old would be nice. I have had people try to take regular oven mitts and try to make them smaller but they rarely get the size or shape right and wonder if any of you cooks out there have found something that works well for you.
