Gloria, I'm finished now hunting for the deer - garden help and off to shower and wash the pretty dried flowers dust off. I think I found a good solution for you below. Hope you get to read this before work and save a few tomatoes for yourself before the deer bring all their family and friends to your garden. hair: Keep your customers hair Gloria and keep the deer away. Another advantage to having customers for you--take them home to your garden: Since deer do not like the smell of humans, you can try gathering human hair (the local barber shop is a good source) and hanging it in mesh bags from your trees or from stakes around your garden. Some gardeners find this is enough to keep deer at a safe distance. http://www.organicgardening.com/feature/0,7518,s1-2-9-216-2-1-2,00.html Trying to help you plan

Gotta get to work so I'll save it for when I get home. I'm letting them have whatever tomatoes are left this year. Next year I'll deer-protect my garden.

happened to mention the same thing to me at work tonight...human hair to repel the deer. Gonna gather up some and try it. I certainly can get a surplus of it.Gloria

They have mesh bags at the Dollar Store. I could get some of those to put the hair in. Unfortunately there aren't many tomatoes on the vine. It's been soooo dry here and nothing is growing. Two measly green tomatoes are all I have hanging. So I might not be able to test whether or not the hair works. The deer don't care about 2 small green tomates.;-(.

Wish it it would rain!!!!
