Guest guest
, Has he ever tried a neti pot? That cleans out the sinus cavities – you use a saline solution. There’s directions in the box when you buy it – probably get it from a health food store. I’ve never tried the oregano, it may burn. I’d be afraid to try it in my nose. Guest guest
Oil of Oregano is NOT for whimps and pussies... It does a FABULOUS job of killing bacteria and viruses (especially flu and bronchitis) like crazy and comes in capsules that must be taken with food - for your sanity, as well as your stomach's comfort! http://www.breathing.com/oregano-oil.htm Jan Jenson The Wellth Coach
Guest guest
Your husbands body is trying to cleanse and heal. His best bet would to be to examine what he eats and remove those foods that tend to cause this problem. Dairy is the worst offender usually. Any food that is mucus forming will only add to the problem. I would suggest he fast for a week when he has this problem but he may balk at that idea (most people do). He might be more willing to do a juice cleanse instead though. I am not so sure about putting such a concentrated EO up the nose, not even in a salt solution. This will do nothing to solve the problem. It will however, act like a bandaid but he will continue to have sinus infections until he cleans up his diet. Guest guest
An easier bandaid than oregano oil is a product called SinusBuster (www.sinusbuster.com). I used to be addicted to OTC nasal sprays (I lived on Afrin for years) and this stuff not only broke that addiction but I haven't had a sinus infection in a very long time. I do still get congested occasionally, but can use this product without worry about addiction and it does work. As a bandaid, of course, as Don said. I will warn you, though, that it burns...it's made from cayenne extract, and it's all natural. Guest guest
Super Tonic pulp (dried and powdered) works well also. & I can attest to that. Suzi"Sharyn E. Guest guest
I totally agree with Don here . Dairy products will aggravate any sinus problem. Lots of clean water and healthy foods would be best. Guest guest
Thanks Janet, I did not recall to mention that sugar will have the same effect as well. Shoot, basically anything that is processed is going to create problems with anyone and we will all manifest these problems in our body's own innate way.
