Had what they called "spring rolls-vegetarian" using rice paper other night. I believe it's my last purchase for those as I don't think it was vegan

The spring roll wrappers I have are vegan. Nothing in them except rice flour, salt and water. They usually come piled flat in a round container. They are a greyish color, almost translucent. You have to soak them in water to make them pliable so that you can wrap the filling in them. Very tricky. I once saw an article in Martha 's magazine (complete with pictures) on how to roll them and it was still hard for me not to break the wrappers. Once soaked they are soooo thin and tear easily. It just takes practice. Mine are still pretty pathetic. I got mine at an Oriental grocery store.

Any clues on how to make spring rolls using rice paper? I need every single step. I can figure out what to fill it with but the rolling is the challenge I assume. Had what they called "spring rolls-vegetarian" using rice paper other night. I believe it's my last purchase for those as I don't think it was vegan as she told me. I can't work with "a goof" when it comes to my food purchases. Just me, realizing people make mistakes but this is a questionable one that makes me desire to skip or make own. Thanks. carolg
