Guest guest
I use the Vita Mix for pretty much everything. I’ve gotten rid of my regular blender and my food processor. My smoothies consist of, for example, the center core of a pineapple, flax seeds, sesame seeds, orange seeds, pretty much anything you put in can be blended into a smoothie, unlike ordinary blenders where you end up with just mush and pieces of stuff. You can also make hot soups, frozen sorbets, grind grains or beans into flour, grate cheese & cole slaw, etc. The machine is guaranteed against anything for 7 years. Carol M Posted by: " carolG " cgiambri@... cgiambri I don't have occasion to use ice. What are you making that you need a fancy blender for? I know the Vitamix is very good, but they are expensive. I know its about choices however. I have even seen Costco now having demos from Vitamix as part of their traveling tours that Costco sponsors. I'm a hugh fan of Costco for many reasons: save receipt, no problems ever with the return. Now Vitamix may be lifetime warranty, but can't speak like our other Carol M can. Regardless for me being mainly raw all these years, I haven't seen the need for the Vitamix, but many have.
Guest guest
It sure sounds like the Vitamix has many ocassions for usefulness, but for me, I hadn't found the need; for others, it may be just what they are needing. I did find it amazing that it can make hot soup too. I appreciate you sharing more information for the right looker. I know the dehydrator, different talk here, was very useful when I was making crackers, cookies, drying herbs, but since I'm not that any longer, I would always give people the facts as you did, and then they decide for now or later purchases. Glad you are getting lots of use out of your Vitamix. carolgCarol Minnick <carolminnick@...> wrote: I use the Vita Mix for pretty much everything.
