<<Hi ...

SAMe is does not have any contraindications as far as I know. Curious why

you are wanting to take 600mg og coq10? Also research has shown that the

water soluble Coq10 is the the best.

Howdy,

My understanding is that, based on bioavailability studies, Co Q 10 is best in

an oil base soft gel preparation.

As far as SAMe, those with bipolar disorder should not take it unless under

strict supervision. It can cause the manic phase. I have come across people

with Lyme and manic depression, so feel it is important to say this on the list.

However, SAMe is helpful for depression, migraines, liver disorders, and

arthritis.

Hi,

the form of the co q 10 is important... u have about 45 % abosortption( 45 %

biological acitivty) with tablets but softgels about 90 percent abosrption(

or 90 % biological activity : real important point which is dependent on

tablet, softgel etc an d strenthgs when comparing co q 10.).

most are made with soy but a few are soyfree for people with thyroid

promblems.

good luck

somish.

Hi Somish and All,

Somish, you mentioned a form of Q-10

that was made

without soy for people with thyroid conditions. I was wondering,

how the soy effects people with thyroid conditions. Does it reduce

the efficacy of the thyroid medication or the thyroid function or does

it enhance it or some other effect???.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Sally,

I have been on COQ-10 for a while and have had no problems. I just started Ambrotose about 3 or 4 days ago. I have had a mild headache since starting it. I am still going to stay on it to see if the head ache goes away.

[low dose naltrexone] Co Q 10

In a previous message, someone wrote the following:Cat's Claw, Echinacea, Co Q 10, things like that are to be avoided. However, I'm not sure people taking LDN need to avoid them, just those onthe meds that kill your immune system or try to act in place of it.This is the first time I have read that we should avoid these. I havenoticed, though, that my head feels odd when I take Co Q 10. Does anyoneelse have an odd sensation when taking it? Can anyone explain to me what thereason is that we should not take it if we should not? I have been takingAmbrotose and other Mannatech products, and one of the Mannatech products (amultivitamin supplement) includes Co Q 10. Just trying to sort this out. Thanks!Sally in Indiana

You started Co Q 10 after you were already on LDN? My way of thinking, that's OK. Once you're on LDN you can ignore those "do not take if you have multiple sclerosis" warnings. It should be like anyone else who takes it.

I have seen those labels though... I figure if you have an AI type disease and aren't taking LDN, you should probably listen to the warning. Either way... we're all on our own, basically :)

Good luck.

Did you know ,,,, Co-enzyme Q10

Studies that have been conducted on this co-enzyme in the past 40 years demonstrate that it can help maintain healthy immune and cardiovascular systems, tissues and organs, and oral health (especially the gums). It also assists the body to maintain proper weight balance.
