Guest guest
Hi Virginia, As far as I know, you still have to do clear liquids until your 15th day and then you can do the whey protein. Guest guest
This may sound crazy but I have not had a BM since before my lap band surgery, I thought that I would have diarrhea but so far nothing, also I did not ask but does anyone know when it is safe to get into a hot tub or lay out in the sun? Guest guest
Be patient,"IT"will come eventually, if not you could take some MOM (milk of magnesia). I went in our hot tub around the 10-12 day aaahhhhhhh...it realyy helped the gas pains and aches!! The sun well, I had my surgery in Feb so...not sure. I would think once you have finished you antibiotic and are taking in fluids well it should be ok.. but e-mail Nina to make sure about all the above.. Congratulations on you surgery!! Guest guest
Scratch that! I actually didn't get in the hot tub until my stitches were out so maybe day 15 was more like it. Sorry:) Dana -------------- Original message -------------- From: rondana@... Be patient,"IT"will come eventually, if not you could take some MOM (milk of magnesia). Guest guest
Virginia. You sound like my mother! She's harped at me since I was 20 about taking care of my skin. She's already started for the season asking if I'm using sunscreen when I drive with the top down. lol Good point, though. Over tanning, smoking and drinking can really make you look much older. Fortunately, I don't smoke, and drinking isn't as much fun any more. Of course, it's just starting to be swim season and at my house that usually means margaritas! I was out Monday without sunscreen and my arms are paying for it now! Thanks for the reminder of what sun does to the face! Phyllis Re: 4 days post op Hot tub when you are healed! Guest guest
Hi , Good to read your positive post! Indeed the worst part is behind you now. It's great you can get some nutrition down!!! You immediately feel much stronger, don't you? Wishing you the very very best! Love, Isabellakristinmari2 <kristinmari2@...> wrote: And I'm feeling pretty good! Still on the pain meds but I really don't think they are helping. The pain is a soreness, not like a stabbing pain. The gas pains are just about gone. I only really notice them at night. I think the worst part about the surgery is just that I have a small baby wanting to be held and taken care of. If I could just lay in bed all day (which I highly recommend!) I'd probably be over the soreness. As for eating, I say this now and will probably take it back eventually but if all I ever eat again is soft food and drink, I'd die a happy girl. As long as they go down, that is the key! I'm drinking rice milk ice cold from the fridge and it is going down! I do not feel like a freak anymore. I'm drinking Ensure like it is going out of style but it feels so good to be getting some nutrition into my body. Umm, what else. I took the bandage off of the incision through my belly button because my baby kept kicking it when I nurse him. There's not even a steri strip on it! I quickly peeked at another incision but because baby is hitting me and kicking me during breastfeeding, I chose to leave the bandages on my upper abdomen for padding. No reflux yet, no spasms yet. Life is good! Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell? Check out new cars at Autos.
Guest guest
Isabella, I'm feeling more and more like myself with each passing minute. I haven't felt like myself in about 2 years time. Which isn't that long compared to the others but still! , FL > And I'm feeling pretty good! Still on the pain meds but I really > don't think they are helping.
