EMBRACE THE ORANGE! A great New Years resolution for Newbies! in Fla Regarding the agent orange. Most people seem to think it stops after the first 4 or 5 months. Not true. I know when I am having an agent orange bowel movement and a non agent orange bowel movement. We may not be able to see it like we did in the beginning but trust me it is there. It is now incorporated in the formed stool. It may not be as orange as it was but it has a distinct odor. It smells like burnt oil. I know this is gross but we need to understand that our body is still getting rid of extra fat and we are not all of a sudden beginning to store all the fat we might take in sometimes. I know when it is present and when it isn't and I know when to expect it and when I know I am being good and won't see any. That is how it is with me. Guest guest
.....are formed stools in my future? Just when exactly will I stop pooping soup? Its kinda driving me nuts. I am a month out today and that is the only thing that hasn't resolved and is causing me issues. I can't go back to work next week having to get up in the middle of client meetings all the time. And yes - I am taking my citrucel. I was also having big nausea & dizziness issues up until last week when thru process of elimination I figured it was the actigall - so I have stopped taking it. I have a few calls & emails into Dr. R & Sandy, but I haven't heard back. Hopefully I will hear back after the holiday season craziness is over next week, but I am hoping he has an alternative I can use. I won't take take the actigall again, its just not worth feeling that bad. I am unfortunately super sensitive to alot of meds. Any advice out there? Sue in NY Dr R 11/29/06 280/256/130? A little more effort on my part to eat 100% clean and the remaining weight will drop off, without Agent Orange!!! Why don't we ever take our own advice?! As for " pooping soup " , for me, it is directly related to consuming too much fat, bread, rice, pasta or sugars (ie: anything white - sugar (as in Gatorade!)). As a fellow post-op once said, " It's all in what you eat " . For me, that statement holds 100% true. HAPPY NEW YEAR, ALL! Best regards, Patty Arthur 5'3 " , 253/144/??? 8/25/03, MGB, Stsvl, Drs. Guest guest
Hi all, and especially Sue-- I'm about 5 months out and when I'm faithful in taking my fiber capsules I am rewarded by being more " regular " than I have been since I had the surgery. What a relief! (excuse the expression). The Citrucell never did anything for me, but fiber capsules are my new best friend. I've just tentatively added zinc sulphate to my daily meds with no ill effects. I tried another kind of zinc a few weeks ago and it made me feel really yucky from the tummy down, if you know what I mean. Getting the right stuff seemed to make the difference. Let's see if helps my hair. I have been losing, but as most others note, it's not something anyone else but me notices. Having regular bowel movements makes me feel like a new person. :-) Kathy in VA 7/6/06 297/216 --------- Re: WANTED: Agent Orange! In a message dated 12/30/2006 6:50:24 P.M.
