Guest guest Posted June 24, 2007 Report Share Posted June 24, 2007 I had not previously posted regarding my plastics but here is some info: I was banded 06/10/05 and lost 97#s - I had a tummy tuck and full face lift (neck, face and upper and lower lids) on March 31 2007 and ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE RESULTS. My plastic surgeon was recommended by Dr. Aceves - Dr. Manual Bello (in Mexicali) and after this experience I would never consider anyone else - he was WONDERFUL. Marilyn, tell the story about when you went to Lucerna and what the Bellman said to you! That was priceless! And just for you I will recount the bellhop story - it was a great ego booster !!! Hope it comes across as funny as it actually was . . . . . I was down in Mexicali for follow up to my "vanity surgery" and was checking into the Lucerna. While waiting for the check in process I mentioned Dr. Aceves' name. The bellhop standing right next to me got this very funny/shocked look on his face. clearly looked me up and down and said: "Lady, lady - I don't think you need that - you are already skinny" Initially, I was not sure what he was commenting on then he went on to say that there would be nothing left of me if I had surgery and I then realized that he thought I was going for lapband surgery - I explained to him that I already had the surgery. We had a good laugh and while he was excorting me to my room he continued to say that I was pretty thin already and didn't need any surgery. A VERY NICE NSV !!!! Banded 06/10/05 - lost 97# - size 1 -2x down to size 6 and most importantly MAINTAINING without any problem - that is the true miracle of the band. Thanks for letting me share.
