It is unusually hot here, because we don't have the normal bay winds for the last few days, and Don and I've been miserable. It is finally cooling down some, but the humidity is still high, and it wasn't cooling down at night. I'm funny...when something happens like this, I can't sleep. Plus...Tilly grabbed my face just under my right eye...naughty bird. Now I'm on antibiotics that make me sick. Ugh. Good to see you posting. Sometimes when I check email I get worried about you if I don't see any posts....I guess because of all that has been going on with you. I hope you are taking care of yourself too. Guest guest Posted October 29, 2006 Report Share Posted October 29, 2006 i just got in. the moment i got on the plane it hit me. this burden of my weight, the guilt and all the associated psychological issues. for the first time in my life has been lifted. i feel a tremendous sense of relief. i know that the work has only just begun. but i think now i have a chance to conquer the demons that have followed me since i was a little girl. i want to thank you all for such a profound experience. thank you to julie for being so open and sharing and encouraging me. everything that she said was the absolute truth. just as i was falling asleep right before the surgery. i felt my father (who passed away 5 years ago) holding my hand, letting me know he was with me and that i was safe and that i was doing the right thing. i been very emotional ever since. how can i ever thank you enough. god bless you all. keep in touch. very truly yours, mari haworth Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think most of us shed some while reading your message because we can identify with your feelings. I have been on high ever since my surgery last month. I just feel so free of the struggle. And now, I feel a lightness I haven't felt in a very long time.....and I've only lost 28 pounds. I'm still 202 but what a difference that 28 pounds makes! Knowing that it isn't coming back just makes me jump for joy. I can hardly wait to see how I feel after 50, 60, 75 pounds! Stay with us and share all your feelings, up and down (if there is any).
