Today was the unveiling of the new me! I was so nervous to have the drains

pulled and to see what was under the bandages!!! When undid the girdle

and helped me out of it; I felt soooooooooo good and then she started taking the

bandages off and I began to feel better and better! I laid there on the table

just scratching and rubbing my stomach! It felt so good!!!! Dr. Sherrod came

in and looked me over and said everything looked very good and the drains could

come out! HURRAY!!!!!! It didn't hurt at all when he pulled them out, I could

feel them moving inside of me and that was kind of weird, but no pain! Then he

asked me if I was ready to see the new body; I told him I thought so. He helped

me off of the table and stood me in front of a full length mirror. I have to

tell you, I totally lost it! I was bawling like a baby! I have never had a

body like this before Of course, the incisions still look very raw, but I know

that will get better with time. I'm just totally amazed at how I look. Dr.

Sherrod told me to wait until tomorrow to take a shower; I can barely wait for

that. Sink baths just don't do the trick. He told me not to be doing any

lifting, stretching, pulling or pushing, to listen to my body and just do what I

felt like. No housework--he said there was too much bending and twisting

involved--I don't know if Bill is going to believe this one!!

My sister had driven me to the doctor---my family is very protective and didn't

think I could do this my self. After leaving the doctor's office we went out to

lunch and while eating lunch decided to go buy some new clothes! Good and bad

idea!!!! I bought 3 new outfits to go back to work in and 2 outfits to wear at

home. Before surgery, I was a size 12------the new clothes are size 8!!! I

remember wearing a size 10 when I was in the 5th grade, but can never remember

wearing anything smaller. My sister and I were both in tears!!!! We are an

emotional bunch!

We left my house at 9:15 this morning and didn't get home until 1:30 (we didn't

see the doctor until 10:45!), so I am really wiped out and think I am going to

indulge in a short nap before Bill gets home.

I will be back in the office tomorrow at 9 a.m.

Thank you for all the kind messages, enquires, etc.

If you have any questions about the tummy tuck procedure and the recuperation

let me know. I have kept a daily journal and will share with you.

Star congratulations! I am set for June 26th, for a lower body lift with

the cut all the way around, so it is interesting to hear someone else's

experience. I dread it and can't wait all at the same time. I can't BELIEVE

you are going back to work so soon. I am planning on taking a MONTH off (but

working from home as much as possible after the first week or 10days). Good

luck, I can't wait for this next step.

Hi Star Sweet,

I am so happy for you. I would know what I would do with out all

this stomach skin but I know that it would be wonderful not to

have it hanging on my thigh. I hope in time I will be albe to

finacally to be able to have at least a tummy tuck and maybe a

breast list. I can't wait intil you post some pictures. Try to

take it easy and don't push your self.
