Guest guest
I don't understand. Why would anyone want to become deaf or have a limb amputated? Larry
Guest guest
, Yes, unfortunately this is true. There are people out there who want to become deaf, just as there are people who wish to have their limbs amputated, who wish to starve themselves thinner (anorexics). Sick, indeed. Don't pay attention. Good thing that physicians will NOT perform anything that they want to do in order to become deaf. I can't imagine what they would try to " do at home. Guest guest
I don't understand this either. It must be some kind of a weird fetish. If the people on the deafwannabes group *really* understood how isolating deafness and hearing loss can be, they would be thankful for the hearing God gave them. Guest guest
I am not a shrink but let me take a stab at this. Maybe these wanna bes " need " a way to truly be isolated from the world. They cant drop out because they have to work or support a family or..... Or maybe they believe the deaf world is the ONLY place where they can feel they are accepted. Sad all the same. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Everyone has a photographic memory, some just don't have film. -- & Gimlet (Guide Dawggie) Portland, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rlclark77@... http://home.comcast.net/~rlclark77/
