, I think

you know you are too tight. As long as you are aware of that, and don’t

stay too tight for too long. I try to tell people the idea is not to restrict

yourself so much that you cannot eat. Think of putting a rubber band around

your finger. Now tighten it to the point that it doesn’t hurt, but is

pretty tight. Now leave it on there all day. Right, you probably couldn’t

do it. But that is what you are doing to your stomach by leaving the band too

tight. Erosion happens for many reasons but one of them is keeping your band

too tight. Just be mindful of that and if it doesn’t loosen up in a week

or two, please get an unfill.

Subject:

pretty tight and having some frusturations

HI all. I havnt had time to post much this past week.

I hope

everyone is doing well. :-) I got my last fill a few weeks ago as

most of you know. well I wanted to be tight, because I only want to

be able to eat small amounts so that my weight loss will stay

steady. I have lost about 5 or more pounds since my fill, so that is

the good part. But I am hardly able to eat anything, and at times

that can be so hard. I am finding in the mornings I can hardly even

sip on hot tea. and then by the afternoons I am able to eat very

soft foods. yesterday I managed down 1/4 cup mashed tators and some

ice-cream. Each day is a new day and as we all know with the band

it changes from day to day. The thing I dont like is the slimming

and pbing because that always makes me so nervous when I am doing to

much of that. so I am just trying to take it easy and slow. But I

am just have a hard day today. and I wanted to vent to my band

family. you know what is really frusturating is when you cant even

drink a liquid and you pb and you are so hungry and you want food so

badly! I wish I could find that happy medium. where I can eat just

enough to keep me healthy but not enough to slow my weight loss

progress. But I am not in a danger zone, because I manage to get

down enough liquids to keep me hydrated and I manage to eat enough to

keep me from dying. :-) so I just need to stick it out and take it

one day at a time. I think more than physical this is purely

mental. because sometimes the " need " for food is so much more than

physical.

take care all,

big hugs,

, Would you consider having just a tiny bit removed? You don't want to be too tight, ya know. That is not good for your band. Don't wait too long because it may not actually get much better on its own. I would ask Nina to ask Dr. Aceves what he would suggest and go with that. Keep us posted and work to get those liquids in. Jenni and , hey girls. :-) I know you are more experienced at

this than me " much more " , especially you Jenni with the being " to

tight " thing. But I am hanging on! I dont want to get a unfill,

because I know it will get better. I am able to get down all my

liquids, protien and vitamins for the day. and if I take it really

easy I get things down, but sometimes it just gets frusturating.

because head says " mmm that is yummy I want more " but body says " no

you are not having more, so stop, put down the spoon before somebody

gets hurt! " I think that being this tight is teaching me to break

those old habits and deal with food issues. I know myself well enough

to know that " I need " to go through this. I know that might sound

really crazy to some. But if I am allowed to eat to much, " I will "

and I sabotage my own efforts. Because I have hardly any self

control when it comes to food. (reason for needing this band in the

first place) And it is really wierd to, because some days are way

better than others. Like today I did pretty good. I had my protien

shake in the morning, for lunch some mashed tators, then for dinner

some chicken chili. these days me and beans are best buds!! :-)

they are a good source of protien and easy on the pouch.

I also see I am not the only one dealing with the " 2nd " fill blues. :-

) But today when I went to town and went to the mall and had a great

day of just enjoying my weight loss. I refocused and realized I need

to just hang in there and go through the process. Honestly if I felt

my band was in danger I would be right back in to get a unfill. But

I feel safe in that respect.

Thanks ladies, your wisdom and insight always help me so much!! :-)

, What you are saying sounds right were I'm at, I have a tight fill last night I drank half a protein drink for dinner because I just was not hungry these are thing that I can say I have never, never experienced before in my life after my second fill on 2/19 I have just realized that I need to do things different in cooking around the house I am use to cooking a certain amount of food for dinner I have so many left overs in the fridge which is a good thing but it helps me to see how much I use to eat. Never had left overs before??? My biggest battle is the Mind I see food like the baby back ribs I cooked Sunday I don't stop when it comes to ribs I could only eat one rib and sent the rest home with my brother THAT WAS HARD.. I am lucky if I can eat a cup off food right now. But I'm going to call this my sweet spot because its teaching me that I do not have to fill my plate, and food is for surviving not for entertainment, pleasure, or to

sooth pain. I stop when I get that full feeling even if my mind tells me it wants more. I make sure my body gets what it needs anything else it wants it will just have to take it from the fat of the land!!!!!! For most they would probably get a little unfill but as for me this is what I need right now to put my mind in its place of how I should eat.. Good luck you loser I saw those picks LOOOOKING GOOD!!!!! :~)) peninsulahair <peninsulahair@...> wrote: Jenni and , hey girls. :-) I know you are more experienced at this than me "much more", especially you Jenni with the being "to tight" thing. HI , Yes pulling away from the food is the hardest part isnt

it?! I too enjoy cooking, so I still cook for my family and it can

be hard sometimes. I love my own cooking. But a few bites is all I

need.

How much have you lost so far ? How do you feel? awesome I

bet!!! this band is the best thing that has happened to me! I has

given me my life back!! :-) dont you feel the same way? It changes

us forever. I just think everytime I step on the scale " I will never

see that weight again " ! :-) I could honestly never say that before

when I dieted. that is the best feeling in the world. I never told

my family this. But the other night we went to Macy's big sale and I

was in the plus size section and I had tears in my eyes, because It

has been years since I have been able to shop anywhere but s

plus size. s was the only place that carried the 30/32's or

5X's. Most places only go up to a 3X or 26/28. so I was never able

to shop anywhere else. But now I can go anywhere that has a plus

size section!! :-) Huge nsv. Life is just good. even though it is

hard dealing with the food issues, the rewards far outweigh the

sacrifices we are making right now.

, I just think you need to be real careful. Don't do anything that could eventually cause problems with your band. This scenario keeps coming to mind....I'm sure you can relate....You know how when you buy panty hose that end up being too tight and you have to wear them anyway? You know how eventually they suddenly roll down from your waist because of the fat rolls??? Come on, people, I can't be the only one!! lol Anyway, that is what I picture happening to a band when it stays too tight for too long. Maybe I'm crazy but that is just my thought process. Just be careful, ok? Jenni, that is a totally fabulous analogy on the band being to

tight! That is a really good way to explain what the effects could

be. I know I am not that tight though. Because each days gets a

little better and when I am careful I do well. But I really enjoyed

that analogy, and I will keep that in mind, so that I dont put myself

in harms way like that. You always have a good way at looking at

things!! :-)

By the way, how are you doing? I saw your T-shirts, man you are just

a walking " billboard for our dear Doctor A " !!!!! :-) keep it up!! :-)

You look absolutely smashing in your new photos that you just posted.

WOW, 50 pounds gone.....what a loser you are!!! Great job....I for one

know that it is NOT an easy road, but keep up the hard work day by day

and you will have an even cuter hiney.

My fill didn't even phase me that Shrikanth gave me so I am going to

head back to Mexicali for another fill towards the end of this

month....wish me luck!!

Hey Seatle girlie. :-) so no restriction at all huh? How much did

you get with your fill? I Thought it was like 1 cc? Man that is a

bummer that it didnt restrict you at all? Have you been loosing

good? cuz I thought you said that you had lost like 5 more pounds?

So, how much does your band have in it? should it be checked for a

leeky port? How does this work, is everyone just take different

amounts to get restriction? hmmm well my new friend keep me posted

on your progress k!! :-) WE should meet up sometime and have some

coffee or soup or something! :-) I dont get up to Seatle that much,

but I have been thinking of going to Ikea. :-) I am decorating my

new house and they have like way cool stuff up there. But for some

darn reason it seems a million miles away from where I am at, even

though it isnt. lol I grew up in the kent, auburn valley. Did you

grow up out there?

ttys,

hugs,
