up to what extent can processor jacket helps

hi there,

i know there exist speech processor jacket that can help avoid moisture.

this afternoon i played badminton with my cic, i can hear shuttlecocks

hitting but not speech of the player i play with, i rely on my sister who i

can lipread from time to time, however, this got me thinking, if ever i got

ci, how far can the jacket for speech processor help? will it help even if

you perspire to the point that your t-shirt is very wet

i do use the jacket in the summer because i sweat alot and work outside

there are days when the humidity is horrible together this isn't good

for my processor i know

when i got my first 3G there were no jackets and no one said anything about

working outside when it was 100 degrees yep i did mess up a few

processors this way and learned my lesson

if i'm outside for a long time in the high humidity i leave the CI

inside my dry box

better safe than sorry jackets help me a lot but there is a limit i

think then again i've not try to push this limit and really don't want to

try

Jerome,

I know it's hot and humid where you live. The only way you will know if the

jacket works to stop the moisture problem you would have would be to try it. I

personally would go without the processor while playing in high humidity because

I am very careful with my processors and try to take extra good care of them. I

know we have members on the list who play tennis in the heat with their

processors but I don't really think we can honestly answer your question. This

one is one I think you have to figure out on your own.
