it seems to me there is a major push for anyone new to CI to get the bionic

CI anyone coming on a CI forum saying they are looking into getting a CI

are then assaulted with

people from clarion/bionic pressuring them to go with the " best " or " latest "

CI which is theirs of course anyone from wives of doctors to engineers

to hi tech operators all saying

because they are in the know ... they have the inside connections to KNOW

just how and why clarion works best then they want to push this on others

i often wonder about these people and if they are getting kick backs ....

it's a common practice most every where so why not with bionic CI

as far a nucleus pushing .... i have yet to see this i do love my 3G

and am willing to share my experience but as far as pushing or pressuring

.....nope anyone getting a CI needs to make this decision themselves

the bottom line is having a device which will allow someone to hear no matter

what brand is used

yeah i too would like to let the Feds know that i was never pressured into

getting my 3G

Just a side comment on this. I don't know about the kickback or anything but I

know a family who went to an implant center and they were never given a choice

even though the center did implant both Nucleus and the Clarion. Their child

was implanted with the Nucleus. The family was not too happy that they were not

given a choice. But understand that this is one family that I have spoken to in

many. We were given a choice but then I did go to a different implant center

than that family. Just a comment, not to start any big debate. Each

family/person has different experiences with the process.
