Hello Gayla,

I can very much relate to your concern about lung damage, as I have had a

lifetime of chronic bronchitis/pneumonia/breathing machine, and severe

coughing that always lasted many months at a time. I tried prescription and

over the counter drugs, but was unable to find relief until I began looking

at natural products. There were a few products I found that really made the

difference for me in my battle to regain my health and help me breath

easier. After being diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary

Disease) 5 years ago and told that there was nothing that could be done

because my condition would progressively get worse, I found and began taking

Eucalyptus.

(1) Eucalyptus

from Ayurveda & Aromatherapy by Dr. Light , ND , Dr. ,

DC.published by Lotus Press, P.O. Box 325, Twin Lakes, Winsconsin 53181

There are over 700 varieties of eucalyptus ...They all possess similar

properties...It is one of the best oils to use for respiratory tract problem

because the component eucalyptol is mucolytic (it relaxes the flow of

mucous ) and it excretes the eucalyptol out through the lung surface.Even if

you take in internally in a tea form, eucalyptus will very quickly passout

of the body through the lungs, having its relaxing effect to the

mucousmembranes.

OTHER INCIDENTAL REFERENCES:

COMMON NAMES: Blue Gum Tree, Stringy Bark Tree

POWERS: Healing, Protection

The elemental tree of the eucalyptus may be used for " healing and

protection " .Placing the leaves (oils in cotton pouch) on pillow to protect

from colds. The oils or leaves can be used in a pot of hot water along with

the leaves and let the steam permeate the whole house to clear out the colds

and flu like sypmtoms that are living in the house.Using leaves around the

house nice for protection from colds. Pillows can be stuffed with leaves or

oils for lung problems. This has also been helpful for my animals.

(2) Herbal capsuls that I purchased from a very old pamphlet that I found in

a used book store.

(3) Grade A therapeutic essential oils which helped open up my system

through topical application, inhalation, diffusion, and ingestion in gel

caps. The first one I used was RC which is a blend of 4 eucalyptus oils,

myrtle, pine, marjoram, lavender, cypress, spruce, & peppermint. This

formula ended the constant coughing and high fevers that I had been

suffering with for 7 months. I also learned that the rectum is the gateway

to the lungs and began doing rectal implants with the oils which gave me

relief in seconds. Rectal implants are the quickest way to get to and heal

lung tissue.

So for lung problems, among natural I would use green tea, eucalyptus,

essential oils to improve blood circulation and increase lung capacity.

Subject: smoke inhalation

Anyone know what can be done to help smoke inhalation? Someone I know just

went through two terrible fires in the Texas panhandle and people and

animals are suffering. Any EOs that can be inhaled?
