Guest guest
Hi Faye, Sorry for getting back to this so late, but am in transition right now. Sounds like you did good. Taking Tonic 2-3 times a day is good, but how much per dose? I take it that often, about a tablespoon or two a dose, at least three times a day, just for maintainance. I also use Tonic to wash out wounds. As for the Goldenseal, I would make a poultice out of it with extra virgin olive oil (organic cold pressed if possible) before applying, and re-apply every few hours, as is convenient considering what you may be doing at the time. I personally make a Goldenseal/Comfrey salve for just such emergencies. I even use it for chapped hands and lips, for the dry wrinkles around my eyes, etc. Sounds like you are doiong great! Keep it up! Peace, love, laughter Faye <drlyshand@...> wrote: What a timely tip! My son sells Rada kitchen knives and was setting up at the flea market. I was helping him before going into work and one was bumped and dropped, point first, about an inch (no kidding) into my leg. By the time I sat down and rolled my pants leg up, my sock was already soaked in blood to the point of getting in my shoe. I was stuck in the calf right under my knee. The lady setting up in front of him saw it and panicked. It really helped that she did. I work in an animal hospital and have learned to deal with owners whose pet has been hurt in a fight or hit by a car. Her panic actually helped calm me down and remember my training. Grabbed my trusty first aid kit, stopped the bleeders and butterflied that puppy shut. Then applied a pressure bandage. I usually take the super tonic once a day but while I'm healing I've upped it to 2-3 times a day. Is that to much? And my goldenseal is in capsule form, should I put it on dry or wet it with something first? The doctors where I work insisted on me taking antibiotics and gave me 500 mg Cephalexin. I lived through a cleanse once and am in no hurry to repeat it so they are still in the bottle on the shelf.......just in case I guess.faye Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. Guest guest
Faye, you can take your super tonic every hour if you have to... did you wash out our wound? You can use super tonic to do this... I would add the golden seal to some distilled water and make a paste. Take a week of some immune boosters, echinacea or astralagus...also. Thanks, will do the super tonic more often. I washed it very well with what I had, wasn't at home so did have to use big pharm. surgical cleaner though. When I did get home it got a good soaking via a wet cloth in the tonic. I was all set to see stars when hitting an open wound but it didn't sting that bad. Nothing compared to what I was braced for, lol. faye

Guest guest
My usual amount is about 2-3 tablespoons daily but Started twice daily and may even drink more. When I first started taking it I actually cried because it tasted so bad and was sooooo hot. I'd measure it out and mix it with water to take. Now I love the way it tastes and even pour cayenne pepper in/on just about everything we eat. Before, a bell pepper was spicy to me, lol. When I stated my garden seeds this year, cayenne was one of the first seeds ordered. faye
