Lori, Do not get discouraged this early in the game. Your body has been through the trauma of surgery. You may not consider this to be major surgery but your body may react differently! Give it a little time. Remember, your band is not fully operational until you have a fill. Think about it like this. If you needed a new tire for your car and you bought one but decided that putting air in it at first was not possible. If you kept the flatened tire on your car, you could still drive it, althought somewhat slowly, but it would really work very good. So it is with your band. It won't be too long before your fill and your band will be fully working then. Just be patient as much as possible and DON'T compare your weight loss to others. Surely you have been on enough diets in your past to realize that everyone loses at different rates. The more you try to compare yourself to others, the more

frustrated you can become. Take care of your band and I PROMISE it will work for you! NOT SO MUCH :( - Is anyone else out there experiencing snail slow wt loss? I have my first fill scheduled for Dec 23rd - will that be the magic moment for me? I need to say that I can eat - I have no trouble whatsoever - my band is tolerant of almost anything - I have been staying within the guidelines of what I am supposed to be eating - is it just me? Has anyone else had such a slow start?? Need a pep talk!!LoriDOB 11/10/06249/236/125
