Heartburn for the Holidays

I think I have consumed too much chocolate

for the holidays and therefore my stomach has gotten a little acidy. I noticed

it happening over a week period where no matter what I ate or drank, I got

heartburn. Even drinking water, and once just eating a pretzel from a trail mix

box. So I bought some prilosec which is what my pharmacist recommended since it

works not only to reduce the amount of acid but also fix any erosions (Just

like that other stuff claims to do, can’t think of the name right now) so

I figured to take it as a precaution in case the acid was thinning out my

stomach/esophagus lining. I am on day 3 of the prilosec and have had no

heartburn whatsoever. It says to take it for 14 days. Nina, what does Dr. A say

about Prilosec? Is it ok to take? Oh, Nexium is the name of the other stuff.

You need a prescription to take it so that is why I got the prilosec. My

pharmacist said that Nexium was made after prilosec and is derived from the

same drug??
