Guest guest
Hey Phyllis! I am in my mid 30’s so I know I can’t say I know exactly what you are talking about but I will say this: The more I lose, the more saggy I look too. My face, my boobs, my tummy. Oh and let’s not even talk about my butt. My stomach looks like a giant raisin when I look in the mirror. I hate it and I think that is why I don’t want to lose any more. Not that I need to. If I had the money, I think I would have my whole body lifted. But since I don’t, I will just deal with these weird body morphing issues I guess. At least we look good in clothes huh?! I still love to clothes shop. M DOB 3/1/05 280/160/158 under goal! 122lbs GONE! 5ft 6in, Size 8 http://www.tracyslapband.com From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Phyllis D. I'm really proud of you. And those of you posting pictures, wow! You look so fantastic! Oh, to be young again. I do wish I had started this when I was still young. I'm 57, was banded in April and have lost 60#. That's 60# and holding, and holding.... I got " off my feed " as they say and was eating whatever and whenever I wanted. So, I stopped losing weight. Part of me, I think, is afraid to lose more. I am getting sooo saggy. In a knit top, my arms look almost as big as before because of all the flabby skin. And in my abdomen and lower belly, it's like the fat is melting and sliding downward!! Sometimes I think I'm bigger than ever! All that aside, I've had some wonderful NSVs including once again going " shopping " in my own closet and finding some great clothes. I used to work in San Francisco and have some of the expensive clothes left from then. Also, clothes I couldn't wear comfortably a few weeks ago at my minus 60# I can wear now, so something is happening even if it's not showing on the scale. Any other " older gals " or " guys " out there who have dealt with the flab problem? Maybe someone who has lost their weight after being banded longer ago than I was? Helpful hints appreciated!! Happy New Year to all of us - to our new selves - to our happier and healthier selves!! Phyllis
