Wait... Danny Black is being removed from the list because of his posts that

PEOPLE VOTED TO KEEP!? That's a tad nuts.... And not fair, by any means!

Amy, everyone...Danny Black has NOT been removed from the list. The

only thing which changed is not posting job announcements anymore, as I

wrote Danny privately as he deserved to know. As I expressed before, there

ARE other means available for job announcements. And perhaps

I was wrong not to do a poll for the very few who would participate, but

I stepped up to the plate and did it with only good intentions.

I still think there should be an official poll. Surely we could determine out of

those who are active, what percent wants his posts and what doesn't. & nbsp;

Let's try to be reasonable here. Adelaide has said Danny is not off the list

He can still participate in the purposes the list is actually for-

discussing dwarfism and the things that entails: he If you, Amy, are

interested in Danny's acting jobs (though from what I see, it is often less

than acting, to be sure), you are free to sign up for the dwarf acting list.

Or you can find him on Facebook, and probably Twitter.

Thank you, Adelaide.

Actually, as a former moderator, I can tell you this isn't a democracy. The

moderators have the power to do what they want to this list. Now, the

downside is if they upset enough people, everyone will quit and migrate to a

new list (or Facebook). As long as the moderators don't violate the rules of

, consider this a private club in which membership is a privilege.

The fact that they had a poll in the first place was a courtesy (one I may

not have given).

I have no problem with the actions taken.

I really could care less about what jobs he's posting. I'm not actually

interested in doing that type of work. I just don't think it's fair to hold a

poll, then people complain about it FOUR years later. Without he and Grady,

there WOULD BE NO list.

*shrugs*

but as usual, what do I know! :)

Well, Amy, let's be happy Grady is posting things people enjoy.

For me, as an actress, I can say the majority of what Danny posted is NOT

acting work, in my humble opinion. It is demeaning, degrading, dress up,

jump out of a cake, be an Oompa Loompa and let people laugh at you, but it's

OK because you make a few bucks. What kind of example does this give to any

young people who might stumble on this supposedly family oriented list?

Again, if people want to connect for this kind of work, Danny has many other

outlets. And if the list is meant to die, at least it can do so with some

grace and class.

Again, Adelaide, thank you. As Bill so succinctly said, this is not a

democracy. And you, as moderator, have the right to make such a decision.

Hello all,

Honestly, what is the issue?  There is a dwarfism acting listserve.  If people

are serious about acting or the " jobs " he posted, they can easily go to that

page.  It is not like all outlets were taken way from him. It's like POLP, they

have their own listserve to speak about things they encounter as parents.
