Guest guest
CONGRATULATIONS .....you have been and continue to be a real inspiration to me...Thanks so much!! Dawn from Arizona I REACHED MY GOAL I know it is late (I am posting this at 10:30pm Saturday night) but I had to share with my “Aceves family” that I reached my goal this morning! It was such a wonderful feeling; I almost didn’t believe the scale and had to look twice. I am so happy. Thanks you Dr. Aceves!! It certainly hasn’t been easy, and looking back on my journal, I have made some mistakes (like getting lazy about exercising). For those “outsiders” who think this is the easy way out, I say it is not. You still have to work for it. You still have to exercise. You still have to watch what you eat. Yes, the band helps you by restricting how much you can eat, but you can still cheat the band. It still takes will power not to drink with your meals and graze, and eat the junk that easily slides down the old “band hatch”. I still had to fight the food addiction that made me fat in the first place. Thanks to the band, I won the fight! Guest guest
THANKS Deb, Yes, I guess I am two different people in a sense. Everyone keeps telling me how much younger I look now. How old did I look before? LOL! I have such a weird view of myself. Mostly, I guess I just don’t see what others do. As far as celebrating, well I did eat a chocolate brownie yesterday and then I decided I needed to stop celebrating with food so I am going to buy me some new jeans! Of course I have to try on a smaller size! Hey good to know of another fill doctor! He is a little far for me but maybe closer to those coming from the south! You have been an inspiration and a tremendous amount of help for me along my journy. So I'm happy that you have reached your goal. It gives us all hope. And, I agree, you look wonderful and beautiful and a whole bunch younger. You are beautiful and strong. Guest guest
WooHoo ! I knew you could do it!! I too am doing the dance for you! Now, all I need is some butt kicking from everyone to get me losing! Even though I have great restriction now and have been really, really, really stuck and had the worst PB experience so far on this journey and am just now getting back on solid foods, I don't think I have lost anything. I'm not sure if it is because I'm not exercising as much or because I had cream soups, yogurt, etc. for the last 3-4 days. It is also hard to find things to eat when staying at someone else's house for 3 weeks. I guess I just have to buckle down and do it! Anyway.... Congratulations!
