Guest guest
I think I'm starting to be in disbelief. It's all so overwhelming. I remember when I first read about the implant after I meet Chauncey. I thought to myself - Do I ask him if he knows about this? Do I say anything to plant a seed of hope where there may be none? Thank God his ENT asked on his very first visit. Thank God he answered " Why not try " . Then to the videos. Our first was so much more than I ever expected, depicting the cultural issues, parental issues, just so painfully honest. We watched, we ordered more. We began to understand. I remember when I first started looking for a group just to get info. I remember wondering if I would ever find one, until I called on the companies and one directed me rite here. Now we have all of you. I don't know where we would be without you. I remember knowing all along that he wanted this. That he needed to try. That he deserves a chance at his dream to hear. What a wonderful journey it has been so far, and I can only imagine⦠We are counting the days now. The 15th. Just in time to have his activation before his birthday. I just can't wait.
