Guest guest
Lee.. Joni got implanted right after I did. I got both the small one for trips and the electric one. I think it might have to do with location (she is in a dry area and I live where it is humid) susan & hobbes michigan At 04:34 AM 5/27/2004 -0400, you wrote: >In a message dated 5/26/2004 10:34:35 PM Pacific Standard Time, >Jonikt4@... writes: >well all this talk about the dry and store that you plug in... i didnt get >one.. i only have the case with crystals... am i the one being gypped?? > >I don't know..... Guest guest
Hi, All, I recently purchased a Global Dry and Store direct from Cochlear. It was $100, but they do NOT charge for shipping. ( and other companies do charge shipping) What's more, you can include your insurance information with your order and they will mail a form direct to your insurance company to see if you can possibly be reimbursed for any part of it. I'm still waiting to hear. Hope this helps. <smile> Jackie (Flash)

What's the story on the little plastic drying case? I use those alot, being a camper. It is good, as the crystle in the little bitty can do just as well as non-electrical dryer. But I would still put it in dry and store when you get home. Lee

Guest guest
The Dry and Store is far better than the little case of silica beads but I think it is possible to buy the silica by the pound. You can get a lot more out of it then just what is the little tin. Going camping??
Guest guest
Suggestion for you Wayne. When you travel to places with or without electricity, take the descant that comes with the Dry and Store and put it into a small waterproof Tupperware type container and shut it tight every night. This works great. So are you going camping soon? Alice

The big trip for me will be, assuming all goes as planned, about 120 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail here in Oregon over a period of about 8 days, probably just after Labor Day. Won't be seeing any electrical sockets during that time period. I'll also go out on some overnight trips on weekends starting next month, depending on how fast the snow melts in the high country. You think the D & S dessicant in a sealed container would be better than the little little plastic case with its dessicant? Guest guest
travel and dry and store,,,,,,, I camp alot,, for those who knows the PNW, it can get damp alot (if not from rain, then it's dew),,, i find that little soap bar's sized dryer works very well. no plug required,,,,, I would take that one along, rather than bring the plug in on every trips..... Guest guest
They have two type of Dry & Store ... I believed that the Dry & Store Global is for traveling. it cost about $100. I have the other one which is bigger. I was thinking to take it along when I travel. C Pearson -- dry and store Question for forum on dry and store. I use a dry and store unit every night for my processor...3G, and wanted to ask if anyone has packed their unit to take on long flights? How well does it hold up traveling in luggage? Can it be carried on a flight with hand held baggage? I have the splash box equipped with the round crystal drying block for travel, but thought of taking my dry and store instead due to being around lots of moisture while away. Thanks, Dixie
