Guest guest
, Nothing yet. I am waiting for OHSU (my clinic) to work out the financial part first. I need to rattle some cages this week. I dont think Medicare will be a problem, just that 20% I have to worry about. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* On a ski lift in Taos, NM: 'No jumping from the lift. Guest guest
Hi , Might be you can consider this case, if it's really difficult to get a 2nd CI, then might as well consider getting bilateral on first surgical operation. Regards/ Jerome : Bilateral CIs , Have you received any word from your insurance company as to whether or not they will cover your second CI? Guest guest
Jerome, Dunno about where you live, but things work differently ehre in regards to bilateral CI's. You dont just walk in and say I want bilaterals and get instant approval. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue. -- Anonymous & Gimlet (Guide Dawggie) Portland, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rlclark77@... http://home.comcast.net/~rlclark77/
Guest guest
Hi , I'm from Philippines. After I told my CI audiologist that I'm still frustrated with how I hear, he said I can do 1 CI first. I'm still thinking, it's a tough decision to make when you need to ears to hear well so I'm still thinking and waiting and watching how others go. Guest guest
Jerome, If you have the funds for it, go for it. Why are you waiting? You have been in this state of mind for what, months? *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* " Ever wonder if the light goes out when you close the fridge door? Well, yes it does. Guest guest
Jerome, I may discuss that possibility with my audi when I see her on the 17th for my hearing and speech discrimination tests. I don't know if she'll agree but it's worth a try. She wants me to use a HA in my right ear but of course that may change depending on the results of the audiological testing. Guest guest
My frustration is not as big as before so it changed my mindset, I'm less frustrated because of the more power in hearing aid. Guest guest
Thanks, but still, I'm still keeping track of this forum and how others do well. You know, hearing aids aren't forever when you know your hearing loss progress after some time. So still, in the future, I will need one soon. Regards/ Jerome Re: : Bilateral CIs Jerome, Good deal. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, that's right. Honestly, I'm still frustrated sometimes for not being able to use the phone perfectly, I do however understand some people, depending on their voice. So I'm going on with life, and anytime I don't hear well and nothing can be helped even stronger amplification, I will proceed for CI right away.
