I just remembered - drill a hole in bars of Safeguard soap and hang in various spots in your garden. Maybe on a pole at your tomato plants. This is supposed to deter deer. Never had to try it myself.

My garden is full of windchimes, hanging bird feeders, swinging metal decorations on poles etc. These critters are fearless!! Just hope they found a better crop of tomatoes and moved on;-). I think Gayla's 18 ft. fence sounds like the ticket.Gloria
