I haven't been there yet, my RNY by pass is coming up on the 10th, but

when my cousin had hers, her doctor gave her stool softners as they

were not as caustic as fiber. Ask the doctor for sure.

I just remembered how she felt and she ask her doctor.

Hi Kelli!!

1st.. I'd like to say, You look great and even ***YOUNGER*** in your Christmas pics!!

Now, about #2......I was never to "regular" before the band and now I am even less regular with it!

If I'm lucky, maybe, once a week, after enduring major cramps I'll "totally empty" or strain to near hernia to produce a raisin!!? Constipation seems to dominate :( Kinda makes me miss the post-op diarrhea!lol.....The Activia yogurt that I choked down was helping but I was sliming so bad I had to stop them! If I get real uncomfortable I'll "chew-up" a few correctols to get me back in the swing of things. So know your not alone, what goes in must come out..eventually..right?? Huggs...and Happy New Year!!

Oh, our 1 Year anniversary is coming up!! Hard to believe isn't it?!!! Happy anniversary to us!!

Okay, I put the old warning sign out...I need to talk about a subject that is not always Kosher to talk about, that's about going Number 2. Is anyone having problems with this? There are days that I am regular, then others well you get the picture. I figured since I am trying hard to get protein in, and I do eat veggies and fruits...its just not enough I think to help make things pass. Has anyone tried like Fiber Sure or FiberCon? I bought Fiber Sure and I hope it will do the trick to get me back to the Porcelein God. Anywho, sorry for bringing this subject up, but I am sure there are others going through the same situation. :)~Kelli

Hi, All. I've been working way too many hours and haven't been reading the message board, but just saw this one about constipation.

I use Fiber Choice. They are huge tablets, but meant to be chewed. They come in orange or strawberry flavor. I find if I chew 3 in the a.m. and 3 before bed, I can stay fairly regular AND it's not like passing concrete!! I can tell the difference when I forget to take them for a whole day.

Good luck! Phyllis

Hi Kelli, Your photo's look great. Keep up the good work. The #2 part sounds like you need to kick up your water intake or try that activia yogurt. I can eat about 1/2 container in a.m. then the rest p.m. sometimes I can eat it all in a.m. if I have the time to go really slow. It really works well for me. Hope this helps, cuz that's really important that you get those toxins out of your body. Best of luck to ya. Hi Deb, Thanks for the information. I do drink lots of water that's

not the problem, I think it's the fiber...not enough. I've been

taking Fiber Sure and I like it, cause it blends in with anything

without any grit or taste...so I've taken 2 teaspoons today, we'll

see how it works. :)

Hey Kelli, yep

I had/have this problem. It usually occurs if I am not eating a whole lot or I

forget to eat my cereal in the morning. I started eating oatmeal, or some other

kind of cereal just to be sure and get my grains in. I didn’t want to try

those Metamucil things because I thought they might gum up my pouch. You might

start out with a little raisin bran in the morning.

I've looked for the Senna Pods to help with this but can't find them. Does anybody know where. I've looked at health food stores, Walgreens and Wal-Mart. Thanks,Ally

Shirley here also in the area of constipation. I have found out and someone else had said the same thing that 5 or 6 prunes will help also. I just put them in a little water and boil them to get them soft enough so they go down easy and in a few hours they do the trick. Good luckrondana@... wrote: Hi Kelli!! 1st.. Thanks for the idea. I haven't had prunes in a long time, perhaps

that is why I have the problem. I was thinking maybe prune juice my

be better so wouldnt have to work on softening them up.

Good idea if you like them! I think prune juice would do the trick too, but it's nasty to me!
