Good job we can't get the programming software for our implants for our

home computers haha. I am looking forward to hookup. I'll probably

be pushing my audiologist out of the way so I can play with the

program. Actually I will have 3 audiologists at my hookup. The one who

works for the doctor and is actually doing it, the other 2 are friends

of mine who askid if they cold come to the hookup as they are curious

and want to see and learn about the process. In addition to the

documentary camera crew. So it should be a lot of fun. That is why my

hookup is on saturday when the office is closed. So I got them all to

myself (-:

The plan is to do the initial hookup and then go to a local resturant

for lunch and try it out and then come back and do some fine tuning.

I think it will be a real benefit knowing about the different programs

and how they work when I get the mapping done.

So thanks for the explainations

This one makes me smile.......... if you know what it is you are using then

at least you have what to say when you go back and say what you liked, didn't

like, heard, etc. But knowing how they work??? Not a chance!! LOL Makes me

reminisce..........

DJ:

I went to a restaurant with my wife after the initial hookup. Could not

figure what any of the sounds were or where they were coming from? After a year

and a half of interpreting the CI input my brains doing better--The thing I

liked best when I was first hooked up was hearing the turn signal on my car and

finally recognizing it.
