Guest guest
I was told by a naturopath that MGN-3 is better than IP-6; that MGN-3 is okay by itself. Before I found out, I was taking both. Guest guest
There are some clinics that do treat what conventional doctors consider the " incurable " . Some of these clinics include the Immune Institute in Huntington Beach...actually, probably any of the clinics listed at http://www.cancure.org/directory.htm would be good to contact depending on where you live. Many of these have write ups in " The Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Cancer " by Burton Goldberg or in his monthly magazine - see if you can get it at a local bookstore or library to check out the write ups of some of the top doctors in the field. You can also call 800-282-2873 (Cancer Cure Foundation) and discuss this with them. They can advise what clinics are near where you live. If you decide to try laetrile, be aware that it is a complete protocol (diet, enzymes, nutrition, and even exercise) that needs to be followed ... not just taking laetrile. You might want the Cancer Cure Foundation to set up a free consultation with the Oasis Hospital if you are interested in this type of therapy. Gerson has relocated her clinic to this hospital, so all aspects of therapy are covered. Guest guest
Detox is important. Elimination of waste in the system so that any good nutrients will be used for healing. Food high in alkaline will starve any cancer, no solids, meats or dairy. DBecht9825@... wrote: PYCNOGENAL AND CO Q10 MGN3 ESSIAC TEA LOAD HER UP ON THESE THINGS AS WELL AS A STRICT DIET. Guest guest
Just have the mum ask the audie to request an audie from Cochlear to do the mapping. If the present audie doesn't know where to go then it would seem s/he needs further training in mapping techniques!
Guest guest
Thanks Actually they are looking into that at the moment. There doesnt seem to be any reason why the implant shouldnt be working and I know the mum would like some answers. It is a very stressful time for her. Especially when she sees other children doing so well with their implants. we were just wondering if there was something that maybe her audi had missed. Guest guest
i'm not there so i don't know if this audie has called a cochlear rep while the child is seated in front of her i know there have been several times my own audie with years of expereince working with CI has been stumped the CI is always changing and new programs being upgraded or developed i do think there are tons of things an audie can miss ... this is why a cochlear rep is always available by phone doing the same thing again and again and it not working says a lot .... it's way past time that someone else looks into this problem maybe taking her daughter to another CI clinic would help or jump start cochlear involvement i hate to say it but some audies just don't want to admit that they don't know everything about CI's not wanting to call in help long ago says something to me like i said my own audie has been working with CI for over 10 yrs ... but doesn't hesitate to call a rep when she can't figure out something calling the rep helps me and also helps my audie to learn something new good luck susan
Guest guest
Kathy, Reading what the mother in Australia said about her daughter not hearing the ling sounds...I think it has something to do with the mapping. Also, have you asked the mother if the daughter sees a speech therapist who has a lot of experience working with CI clients or is at least willing to try new things? I went through several speech therapists before I found the " right fit " for me. One speech therapist told me it was too late for me to learn how to hear again with a CI so I saw another speech therapist and did very well with this one. When I saw that speech therapist again, she was really amazed by how well I was doing - she did not expect that at all, considering that I'm no longer a young child. Do you mean that the child was doing well with her CI or never did well with her CI? When was the CI activation? Sometimes it takes a while. Another question...did the daughter have any " bones " inside the cochlea? That can interfere with the sound passage. I had some bones and they took some (not all) out. And I agree that it's a good idea to have someone from Cochlear come in for a mapping. hope this helps, A.
Guest guest
Thanks and Anneleise. I will pass both your suggestions on to the mum. The child has been implanted for over a year now and I know her mum is getting very frustrated with the lack of progress. Her mum is still waiting for that day when it all comes together and something gets thru. I will ask her more about whether or not a cochlear rep has been to see her or at least been phoned. Congratulations on going bilateral you sound so excited. I am sure you will love it. Kathy

Guest guest
We've had a " regime change " .... now is the time for everyone to start hammering it home to their Congressfolks (national and state), so it's in their consciousness when they convene early next year. I'm sure if they all received a gazillion postcards with " support small farming - NoNAIS! " written on them, it would make a pretty loud statement. It's time for the government to lighten up. Start sending those letters! Guest guest
It would be especially important for Amy Klobachar to get a gazillion cards. I read in the Star Trib that she (like Kennedy) supported Real ID- which is basically the people version of NAIS. The powers that be will just reassure her how important NAIS and Real ID are for our " security " and insist that there will be no burden for real farmers (also known as big ag) She NEEDS to hear from everyone how " everyone " opposes NAIS and Real ID.
