Because of my premature birth history, I had an ABR back in July to test for

auditory neuropathy. (The results were negative.) However, I didn't know it

was called an ABR until the diagnostic audiologist explained what would

happen during the test and why it was being given.

Yes, , You are right... it depends on what subject you are talking about.

There are so many of them that I hate them. My petpeeve but I have to put up

with them. LOL

On some of them, I waste my time trying to figure out what they are. My brain

doesn't cooperate when it come to acronym. oh well.

All this talk of acronyms reminds of my social work courses at my

university. By my 3rd year of study the entire class (professor and students

alike) were " talking in acronyms. " Anyone who walked into the room would

have been completely clueless as to what was being discussed. LOL!

After reading the list of HoH/Deafness related acronyms Alice provided, I

couldn't believe how long it was. It makes you wonder how people memorize or

keep them straight. Whew! -- I thought we used alot of acronyms in the

social work field! LOL!
