Guest guest
Because of my premature birth history, I had an ABR back in July to test for auditory neuropathy. (The results were negative.) However, I didn't know it was called an ABR until the diagnostic audiologist explained what would happen during the test and why it was being given. Guest guest
All this talk of acronyms reminds of my social work courses at my university. By my 3rd year of study the entire class (professor and students alike) were " talking in acronyms. " Anyone who walked into the room would have been completely clueless as to what was being discussed. LOL! After reading the list of HoH/Deafness related acronyms Alice provided, I couldn't believe how long it was. It makes you wonder how people memorize or keep them straight. Whew! -- I thought we used alot of acronyms in the social work field! LOL! CI candidate awaiting insurance approval and surgery date
