Guest guest
Audio Memory is good to have..... I am not yet hook up and wont be until after the holiday...... I dreaded the thought of NO MUSIC! As some of you know, i have switched my hearing aid to other ear in hope that it would give me just enough to be aware of surrounding sounds until hook up day. Yesterdy, in car.... my daughter told me she bought some christmas song tape..... knowing that I can't hear as well as my other ear, i told her to go ahead with it...... first song....she was about to tell me what it was but I stop her......... the beat........so familar!......... took me few lines and just on right beat, i jumped in singing along " And Heavenly Nature sings................ " it was such a joy... knowing i DO indeed have some audio memory on that ear that I havent use for 25 years. My daughter was REALLY PLEASED that she can tell I do have audio memory in " odd ways " and feel MORE confident now that the implant will work for me! Now i cant wait for my hook up day, knowing i will hear ALOT better than I was. Meanwhile.......hope Your Christmas be bright...... for those who just had their Chanukah, I hope it was a very Blessful 8 days for you. As for ALL of us.......... Good Luck in 2004!
