Guest guest
Tanacetum vulgare, TansyTansy was used as a strewing herb in the Middle Ages to repel fleas and other insects. A tea from the leaves was once commonly taken for colds, stomachaches and for use in ridding the digestive tract of infestations of worms. Externally tansy tea can be used as a wash to treat scabies, as a poultice to place on cuts and bruises, and as a compress for relief from joint pain. The essential oil contains thujone which has also been shown to be a uterine stimulant. Suzi What is a weed?
