Guest guest
, The lsit has is the same that is here on the group, go to the database and the complete list is there. It was updates last month so it should be pretty accurate, I thikn we just need to add the Idaho doctors and one in Tampa, FL everything else should be up to date. If you have additional information please add it to the list or send it to us and we can add it for other patients. The sensitivity is normal, it takes time, just avoid the foods that are painful for now, try them again after a while and some may feel better. There are some things that will always be painful and you will need to avoid, it is trial and error, no way to be sure how it will be exactly after your fill either. You will have to return to liquids for a few days after your fill. Nina > > So, so far it seems that my new stomach is pretty sensitive to a lot > of foods. Guest guest
I had pain when I ate but it only started after my first fill, I was to tight, and probably eating to much, (take to much was more then 3 bites) I would get this burning pain right in my chest and when it didn't hurt I thought my band wasn't there because I was so use to the pain when i ate something solid. But it is not suppose to hurt, this is what I have learned, so did this just start when you started on solids, you might want to slow down your eaten, take smaller bites, chew chew chew, and stop between each bite. and don't eat more then a 1/2 cup at a time. See if this helps, Tracie Bartek 248/193erinfoofs <erinsburke@...> wrote: So, so far it seems that my new stomach is pretty sensitive to a lot of foods. Guest guest
it sounds like you are eating either too fast, or too big of bites or both. I have this problem a lot...or I did..it is better now than it was. This is why I take a little tiny bite, and walk away...chew chew chew til it is almost liquid, swallow...then go back for another bite. If I am eating with others...I really do cut everything up tiny...like 1/4 inch square...then chew til it is almost non existent...otherwise..almost everything bothers me and I pb too.BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita MayLowpass, Oregon10/05/05 dob "Iraida" 209/165/135 5ft 3inches ***30 lbs to GOAL!!*** See Mylatest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/
Guest guest
Thanks for the info Tracie. Unfortunately its not from taking large bites. It started with the mushies and that's when I learned about my sensitivity to fruit, especially apple sauce. I was so worried that the pain was from eating too fast that I started eating with a lobster fork (you know the tiny one). I thought that tuna would be the easiest on my stomach but I was wrong. Its like it gets stuck in the hole. I am just going to continue to be careful and will try again at a later date as Nina suggested. I guess I should have been prepared for this since I have always had the most sensitive stomach! > So, so far it seems that my new stomach is pretty sensitive to a lot > of foods. Guest guest
, I hope things get better, if you are having this kind of trouble, please wait as long as you can before getting a fill, a fill and closing up the whole will only make things more difficult for you, if you are continuing to lose without the fill then I would suggest waiting. Take Care and keep us posted. Tracie Bartek erinfoofs <erinsburke@...> wrote: Thanks for the info Tracie. Unfortunately its not from taking large bites. Guest guest
I can not eat applesauce either! I think it must have something to do with the tartness. I keep trying but it has not gotten any better! I guess I will just have to forget it. What's funny is that I can sometimes eat a piece of peeled apple and can eat stewed apples--weird, huh? Another thing I have not been able to eat is eggs--like scrambled or fried, but can eat hard boiled eggs like deviled or chopped up real small--another weird thing about our bands, I guess. Guest guest
, I know it is weird, but the band will choose what foods it likes. (see, I told you it was weird!). That is why you will hear "band friendly" food. Some people can have tuna, some can't. For my first 2 fills, I could not eat tuna at all. It would hurt after a bite or two and I had to give it up. But now with my 4th fill, it likes it! Some people can eat eggs, some can't. Some can eat bread, but most can't. I can eat bread in moderation with no problems as long as I am careful in taking small bites and mix a lot of saliva (sorry gross!) with it as it goes down. That is the fun part I guess, figuring out what foods your band likes. M 280/172/155 -108lbs gone for good!
