Guest guest
I have had lots of problems with sores in my mouth. Especially in the corners of my mouth. BUt when I have had that, I end up taking more vitamins - especially vit B and for me, everything gets better. However, recently, I have had numerous sores in my nose! Ohhhh I hate those. THey stay raw for several weeks. I use lavender oil and tea tree oil and that seems to help. Good luck....and I am on prednisone and imuran...the nose sores began after beginning those meds. debby [ ] Sore Mouth Has anyone had a problem, with there mouth getting sore, my tongue is red, dry and cracked now for two weeks, and I am getting sores in my mouth, is it maybe the imuran? or prednisone?gloriagauss@... Guest guest
I had wondered about it, but didn't know what to do about it. I hope they will eventually go away! Guest guest
Hi, This may sound strange, but for the sores in the corner of my mouth I use an alpha hydroxy lotion, just a tiny dab. And the sores are healed by the next day. I am assuming this is because the sores are caused by a virus and the lotion is acid and viruses cannot live in acid environment. Hey, maybe that would work for HIV??!!?? I believe sores in the corner of the mouth can have any of several different causes -- one major type is caused by a type of herpes virus and another is caused by a vitamin B deficiency. I think a dry mouth may also lead to such sores. There are probably other types I don't know about. Ask your doctor for more information so you can treat your particular problem effectively. Guest guest
That is very interesting! It just might work...but what we discover by chance that helps us is often not important enough for the "scientists." Sometimes I think the regular person is a better scientist that the "paid scientist"! debby [ ] Sore Mouth>>> Has anyone had a problem, with there mouth getting sore, my tongue is >red, dry and cracked now for two weeks, and I am getting sores in my mouth, >is it maybe the imuran? or prednisone?gloriagauss@...>
Guest guest
Since being raw Carl has had a sore mouth. Things like almonds, pecans, dates and even just general foods cut and sting his mouth. It has been 6 weeks and he is getting tired of everything hurting when he eats. Does he have any white patches or little bumps in his mouth? Years ago I went on a detox and one result was that my mouth killed me. I developed all these little white sore bumps in my mouth and eating was so painful. They told me it was detox doing it and to just persevere. It was terrible! Sure enough....when I eventually went back to eating some of the "bad foods" (mainly dairy and sugar for me), the sore mouth disappeared. If his problem is stemming from detox, I recommend letting it run it's course and don't eat any of those old foods the body is trying to eliminate. Guest guest
Does Carl brush and do oral hygiene twice a day? He could be detoxing this way.. Yeah I was thinking detox because I had a sore mouth for a few weeks too. I think he has a lot more years of detoxing to do than me. He's just getting a bit tired of it I think propably just a stage he is going through. Thinks he is wasting away to a shadow when in fact he looks terrific now that he has lost over 30 pounds and is down 2 jean sizes. I'm so proud of how he is doing. Thanks Suzi Tracey

Actually laybyed myself some clothes the other day Size 8 which is about the smallest womens size here in Australia. Fitted into my wedding dress and it actually fell of my shoulders. We will have been married 10 years in October so not bad. Tracey

I don't know about your dehydrated fruits but normally, and this is the case in the states as well as here in Slovenia, they use sulfur dioxide gas to preserve them and to keep them from going moldy. Sulfur dioxide, even though it is listed as GRAS is far from being safe for someone who is cleansing their body and eating all raw. They are also very concentrated in sugars since all the water has been removed. This is not good for a diabetic. Check your sources, where you get the dehydrated fruits, and see if they use SO_2. If they do then quit using them and find another source that doesn't. Just my thoughts on this as I know a lot of people have negative reactions to SO_2 in their foods, myself included. Peace, Don Quai
Guest guest
Yeah, I found this out the hard way. I am allergic to sulfur. Once, on a long backpacking trip, I brought along dehydrated fruits to snack on while we walked. Suddenly I couldn't breath. My lungs siezed up like an asthma attack (which is what happens whenever I breath in sulphur fumes. Even a burning match sends me to the ER). I recovered, but later found that they were preserved with sulphur. Neeldess to say, I no longer eat dehydrated fruits unless they are "home-made". Peace, love, laughter Don Eitner <mysticalherbalist@...> wrote: Hi Tracey,All of those mouth sores Carl is experiencing could be, and I will restate that, could be caused by eating dehydrated fruits. Guest guest
> > I have found the inside of my mouth is becoming very tender. I don't know how to describe it. It feels tight and it is almost like a burning feeling for lack of a better word. Is this normal? Last week I finished the anti fungal product that I got when I first found out that I had Candida (and before I found this group and Bee) and I am now drinking the garlic tea. I have had some die off symptoms which I hardly got at all with the other product. I started off with 4 cups of the tea a day but the die off was so strong that I dropped down to 2 cups a day which has been easier on my body. The tip and the sides of my tongue are getting pinker since I have done this but the rest of my tongue is still quite white from the yeast. I am not sure > if this is the normal feeling for the healing of my mouth so I thought I would ask. Yes Les, what you describe is healing going on which causes inflammation bringing more blood to the area, and burning which means healing is in progress. But do ensure you are taking the B vitamin complex as well; a lack of some of them can cause your tongue to get red and beefy as well.
