Guest guest
They give you bottled water. Nothing to worry about. I had lots of chicken broth on hand and juices. My family ate lots of boiled chicken too! I would season it with onions and celery. Sometimes I would put other vegetables in the chicken so the broth would have more flavor. I took a little DVD player and some movies. I would have survived without. They took very good care of me. I did not take anyone along so I was able to rest whenever I wanted. That was really nice for me because I have lots of children at home. I know you will have a great experience in Mexicali. I wish I had had more time for shopping! I wish you the best because you are having surgery on my 50th birthday! It will be a great day! in NM June 16th surgery date! Hi All! I have a date! The plane tickets have been purchased and it is all official! I have been wanting to have this surgery for about 8 years. I am a 27 year old female. I have been morbidly obese since the age of 12. I am currently at my highest weight ever. My husband and I have saved up the money and I feel like this is a dream! I can't believe its finally happening!I have some questions so if you have any answers, please respond!1. water in mexico.... any problems with this? 2. what is a MUST to take with you?3. what was a MUST have when you got home?4. any other information you think would be helpful....Thanks!Jenn
Guest guest
1. water in mexico.... any problems with this? YES. Do not drink the water or brush your teeth with it. 2. what is a MUST to take with you? Something comfortable to where on the flight home and something to where in the hospital. You will be in the gown the first night so you really only need to bring something for the 2nd night and the flight home. 3. what was a MUST have when you got home? Broth, Gatorade, water, sugar free Jell-O and popsicles. Don't buy too much. You think you will need cases of it but trust me you won't finish it all. 4. any other information you think would be helpful.... I would have brought a bra without a wire. There is a small incision right where the bottom bra strap rests. It wasn't painful, just annoying. I think the best advice I can give regarding what to take is, to take as little as possible. You do not want to have to carry all that stuff around on your way home. The TV is in English and they will " feed you " and give you all the bottled water you can drink after surgery. 7/18/05 280/185/

Guest guest
Congratulations Jenn on your surgery date!!! You will love everyone there. They are awesome!! The only thing that I brought with me was my own jammies and some Bath and Body Works for the shower. It just makes you feel like your at home a little. I had extremelly bad diarrhea after I was able to eat liquids. Not everyone gets diarrhea but I was glad that I had thick pads so maybe you might think about that just in case. Other than that they supply you with everything else. You do get bottled water in the Hospital and Hotel. Good Luck Jenn!!
